Vertex Software Corp. creates custom digital solutions for web & mobile for clients including Austin Regional Clinic, Texas Bar Practice, Seton Health Care, DELL, a multinational pharmaceutical company, and more. At Vertex Software my responsibilities included the following:

Designed and prototyped client websites
Created logos and other branding materials for clients
Communicated with clients to scope projects, provide updates, and gather feedback
Worked with a cross-functional team to build, maintain, and enhance websites in various environments including WordPress and our custom CMS, SitePress
Developed clean, organized code from my own designs or those provided by clients
Designed and built marketing emails for clients
In 2018 my title changed to Creative Director – In addition to my previous responsibilities I also began to review the front-end development work of others and provide feedback
Gained experience working in a remote environment when Vertex went fully remote in 2020

Nagle Studios Austin, TX

Art Director March 2004 – October 2006

Nagle Studios worked on various projects for Austin area businesses and produced a monthly apartment tour video DVD product titled “Happy Renting.”

Responsible for designing the look and feel of the company’s projects and products
Assisted with the filming of apartment complexes, edited tour videos, and did DVD authoring
Also designed the “Happy Renting” case cover art, DVD menu graphics, and companion website
Created promotional content for local businesses including videos, logos, brochures, newspaper ads, and Adobe Flash websites

When designing I welcome the opportunity to help shape a customer’s new image, but I also enjoy familiarizing myself with their existing branding to ensure seamless integration of new content with their established look and feel. On the development side, I love the challenge of making the final product a pixel-perfect match to the original design.
